K-Pro: Switching between sound sources

I’m feeding various sound sources into the K-Pro (currently synth, KO-1, bass, guitar, vocals). It’s fine for working tunes out or recording as I can stop and start, but I’m working up to performing live where I’ll need to switch between them all quickly. Should I get a mixer with a channel for each (I’ll be adding a sampler/KP3 and possibly a CDJ down the line, so I’d be looking at six channels at least) or is there another way of switching easily?
If I go for a mixer, any recommendations? A small footprint would be useful for transportation, plus I’m running out of space in my home studio. Thanks!

Good timing........
That is currantly exactly where I am at!!!
and the good news is I hae a solution.
Gat a very simple Soundlabs Mixer (£15 at most)
order some "Flick" on/off switches (SPDT)
desolder the pots (volume controls)
solder links to the same traces using the switches
behold....................my non-patenteded "flicky-switcher"
basically each instrument has its own "on/off" switch )so if you are syncing other stuff you can get this prepped inline before adding it into the loop path.
mine also has a second switch so that i can route the instruments to a second (home added) output so i can take "inline" instruments and run them in parrallel to the KO-PRO ......but all that is more ot meet my specific needs.
if you like i cn post pictures once its complete.

I like it! And I like your gung-ho DIY spirit too.
However I'd prefer 'pressy' switches (e.g. like the ones on the K-Pro) and it would also be nice to be able to adjust the levels at the same time, so I'm not overloading the input signal.
Doesn't something like this already exist?

if your application isnt time crittical then simply buy a soundlab 4 or 8 channel mini mixer and just turn up the desired pot to the level required or turn back down to 0 any unused channels to save backgournd noise.
if you didnt want to mod one, you could even get an ART micro mixer which is even smaller.
the reason I went for flick swithces is , I didnt have room in the case to add LEDs and I dont like using push buttons without some form of indication as to which state the button is in.
flciks obviously have a visual representation to me where a flick switch in the up position is routed to the output and in the down position is muted.
as for the rest of your question...........asside from larger mixers there is nothing i have found on the market that allows for button press muting / unmuting aswell as individual volume pots. its all one or the other.
the other thing to think of though could be to get two x the really cheap berhinger foot controller On/Off switches.......have each intrument routen into one of them THEN a cool looking snake of wires (my tip use those cable tidys for the backs of computers) to snake each switches output up to the input of your mixer........... volume to taste...mix down to single jack output.......into jack to stereo RCA out put and over to the input of your KOPRO.
make sense??
then all you do it preset your gain stages on the mixer... mute all channels on the foot pedals, then unmute whichever instrument you pickup.

That looks good, but I need physical switching - on and offs - rather than just turning them up (plus, as mentioned, it would be better to set the relative levels before we start, rather than having to remember which pot to turn to seven and which to four).
Phill's point about the LEDs is also a good one - hadn't thought of that, G'bless this forum - for live applications, I really need to know which line is in play, otherwise I might find myself in a dead air situation.
When you say 'larger mixers', how large are we talking to get LEDs and on-off switches?

...Or faders? At least that way you'd know they were on!
