Hey dirtydarrin,

I hope you find your Z1. I recently went through the process of acquiring one and they are pretty hard to find. I can't believe these things are collector's items. I can't stop playing mine since it arrived. I also can't believe there isn't more discussion of this beast on this or any other forum. There was a forum for the Z1 but it's no longer on line, available on CD though.

Hope you get it.

Yep yep

So far I'm lovin it.

Only real complaints are:

1) It weighs like 60 lbs (with the case)
2) OS seems a little slow. Supposedly this can be remedied by updating it, but I don't have the first clue as to how to do that (or even where to get it)

The presets are bad, but I didn't buy it for that anyways. I bought it to get down and dirty with the waves. I really like toying with the comb-filter osc and bowed string osc. They're pretty rad. Slowly, I"m starting to realize how complex this machine is... so many controllable parameters. If I can learn to manage with the menu system I think this will turn out to be one heck of a good choice as my first hardware piece. My keyboarding skills are s**t, but I'll get there.
