Seriously why dont the notes align to the LED grid. This really pisses me off! Why add in the LED lights at all. It would actually be more beneficial if the LEDs were off but there isnt an option to switch it off.

I read somewhere that someone has found a secret mode to adjust the alignment of the grid. Can anyone help me find this post.

I have heard of this but have yet to find the location of such information. one thing i will mention though is that i didnt find there to be a very hard learning curve when it comes to correct notes just practice a bit and youll be able to hit the right notes all the time

Hi Ghost. Thank you for your reply. Im used to using a grid on the KO-1 and assumed the grid would match up in the KO-PRO. It seems pointless that the grid doesnt match. I find this more annoying that anything, I shouldnt really need to compensate when the grid should match. The more I use the KO-Pro the more I realise how good the original one is. Is there anyone out there that is actually happy with the KO-PRO that has a KO-1 aswell?

It annoyed me while I had mine that, when they easily could (like when a scale has 8 notes in it), the notes didn't align to the cells.

I know your feelings! I was a happy KO-1 user, then heard of the KPro, sold the KO-1, bought the KPro and was frustrated!

Now I'm happy again:
I sold the KPro and bought a freaky pink KO-1.
Also waiting for KO-2!

For me the fun was the cheap, small unit with the cool ARP-styles.
It only lacked the possibility to save your work on the go!
If the KO-1 had a build in flash-memory where you could save for example 100 loops it would be perfect. Back in the studio you would reload them and record them in your DAW!

No need for a clumsy, not battery-powered thing with a bad midi-implementation (Gate-ARP-Midi-Note-Output and Midi-Note-Input was soo obvious - but not implemented!!!)
So the KO-2 is my hope!

i am completely satisfied with my ko1 and kpro

not only do i find that it is not hard to play with the lights NOT matching up, i added a simple overlay grid with overhead projector film and now i have every degree of accuracy i could hope for, as well as being able to still see the pretty lights....you can't even see the grid overlay in pics http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/ ... hp?t=55758

get the grid here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o6O4Sh_T7Ds take it into your favorite photo editor and make it whatever color or pattern you'd like, and viola. it should take 10 minutes of your time and the cost of a pack of acetate overlays

and if you know the lights do not match up, don't use them, use the lines between the lights as a reference, duh!

KO-2 is pure speculation. Very hopeful speculation, I'd say too.

And if it's not hard to play with the lights not matching up, why add a grid?

because i like to be very exact...and play complex patterns...it is not necessary but helps, especially when it is too dark to see the LED grid lines...

I would say that if you want to do that then get a keyboard synthesizer! this is so obviously not the point of the Kaoss series...

but i am not the one complaining here! the kaossilator and pro fulfill my needs of accuracy perfectly!
