KP3 - zero sound without effect

Hey all,

Just the other day one of my KP3's stopped sending sound from active in-puts to out-put without an effect being engaged. Long story short, HOLD needs to be on all the time or I must be touching x-y pad to get sound from an in-put source. This does not apply for drums, synths or sampled loops. In-put, RCA & mic both get good signal to PEAK, and no my in-put volume is not all the way down for you to make fun of me.

So, does anyone know why the most basic function of my KP3 has stopped working? Please help me out if you know something.

You have set it to 'send' mode using the small slide switch on the back of the unit.

This mode is for use on the FX Send/Return bus on a mixer where the dry signal would pass straight through the mixer.

Switch it back to 'direct' or 'insert' or whatever they call it.

I think it's 'Direct'. I thought you'd have known, Mr. Trade, after answering this question about ninety-three million times.

Maybe you should just keep a copy of it on your clipboard ready to paste in whenever necessary. :p
