Hello Everyone,
I'm a KP3 noob and I was hoping for your assistance. I recently bought a KP3 and I love it as an effects unit.
I want to be able to trigger one shot samples from the 4 sample banks that are included.
-I create vocal clips/soundbites on my laptop in Ableton
-Export them as .wav files
-Save them to the SD card from the laptop
-Then move the SD card to the KP3 and load the samples
However by default they load as SNDs and they only loop. How can i get them to load as one-shot samples. I have a feeling I'm missing something really simple but for the life of me I can't figure out what it is.
Your help would be appreciated.
Thanks and GREAT forum btw.

you're not missing anything, that's just how it works - see page 19 of the manual (you did read the manual, right?)
WAV and AIFF files are displayed in the loaded by choosing Snd.A, Snd.B, Snd.C or Snd.D, depending which bank you want to load to (that doesn't mean it's a SND file, it's still a WAV or AIFF file, that's just what the display shows)
there's another NOTE on p19 explaining how to make them one-shots

Thanks mr36
I just tried it and it works like a charm! You have saved many lives todayMr36 wrote:Try using the KP3 editor software to convert your wav files into KP3 files. I believe you can make any necessary tweaks in there as far as KP3 settings goes (loop type, active segments, length etc).
But regardless now I can use it as an effects processor and a machine that will trigger vocal clips during my live shows!
Thanks once again!
