just downloaded audacity. How do i play my Kaossilator through it, i have it connected to the USB. sorry im new to this stuff.

Downloaded reaper as well, still cant figure out exactly how to use it though? can you help me get started??

You must connect the audio-out of the KPro to the audio-in of your soundcard in your computer (you need a cable/+adapter that can combine the two devices). Then with the software-mixer of your computer adjust the line-in-level to a level without distortion.
In the audio-application record the audio-in-channel to an audio-track.

No. The USB cable is for MIDI communication and transferring files to/from the SD card, it doesn't transmit audio. To get audio to your computer you need to use audio cables.

if you have a soundcard with a Line In you can use that, although a good audio interface will give better quality

I think im gonna get an audio interface for best sound quality, i know theres allot of different kinds, which one should i go with? sorry im a noob to some of this stuff
