korg announces TRITON VSTI!!!!!

New York City, USA) - Korg have announced the forthcoming release of the legendary Triton synthesiser in VST format. The software will include all the features of the original version plus a handful of extras.Triton VSTi comes with 425 multi-samples ranging from organs and guitars to brass as well as an additional 413 drum samples. Other sounds included are a wide array of pianos, stringed and tuned percussion, making the synthesiser a diverse bit of gear for both dance as non-dance producers. the VSTi's high quality 48 kHz sampling rate offers an in-detail and expressive nuance of each sound played and recorded. The software will be fully compatible to Korg's esteemed Legacy collection and runs on both Mac OS X and Windows as a standalone application or plugin. Supported audio formats are VST, RTAS, HTDM, DXi and Audio Unit.The analogue version of Triton is lauded for its impressive quality of sounds and diversity. The synth has been used by numerous artists including Jamie Cullum and Juan Atkins, as well as being used on stage at gigs of notable pop artists such as Phil Collins.The RTAS and HTDM version will be released in Q3 of this year. The retail price is yet to be announced.

funny - it is Q4 and still nothing mentioned in Korg web :roll:
PS press releases usually contain date in the beginning - quick google revealed that this 'news article' is dated - beginning of 2008 - obviously Korg cancelled that project for some reason. So this topic probably should be moved to arcives.

WOW

I'm one of the biggest Triton fans on the web and in the music business and I'll be the first to say that the Triton was anything BUT analog.

This was an april fools joke from gearjunkies.com from 2008. Can we close this thread now?
