Hi I have collected a lot of KAR files and midi files and made a lot of them too. I made them on a PA80. When I tried to load them in the PA500 in Song Play mode the lyrics would play and the highlighter move along with the lyrics, but no sound. I thought.. what a dud. But then I switched over to Sequencer and there's the sound. Not bad. But only in Sequencer 1. no sequencer 2, no Song Play functions... like lyrics. I can guess the answer is... "you got it all figured out paul and that's all you get."
Did I miss anything?

This should work properly.

Check "Lyrics/Markers Balance Link" settings
(see page 169 in the PA500 User Manual)

When in Sequencer Mode try re-saving the midi and it just might set-up a few parameters to suit your PA500. This works for me sometimes with my Pa1xPro - the new midi (created on who knows what) sounds very ordinary in Song Play mode, I go to sequencer, re-save it and for some reason it sounds and works a whole lot better.

thanks for the midi files. I tried saving the sequences, but so far ..same results. Its ok. I'll work around it somehow and there are probably some banks of kar files that play like kar files someplace.
