ESX Sinlge beats in Slice / Stretch parts?

Post by phillwilson »

Hi there, the way I choose to use the electribe ESX means that i have no need for "loops" or "breaks" as facilitated by the stretch and slice parts.

what Id like is a working method for adding in single hits cos three more sounds in each sound set would be FAR more useful to me.

however it wont let me just pick a kick or whatever out of my pool of sounds and drop it into these parts.

HELP !!!

you need to convert a sample to a sliced sample before you can assign it to the slice part, similarly for the stretch part

I don't see why you can't do that for a single hit though. you won't get the advantages of the stretch / slice parts, but if you don't want that then it shouldn't matter

brill

now ive had a play , I think I will have some REALLY HUGE multi resampled bass and snare drum stacks for each stretch and a crash for the slice as these are "generic" pads I always need after ive built up the other sounds and should free up my main drum parts to be more experimental sounds

thanks
