Hi. I just realized I might have done something stupid with my Korg gear. I have a KP3, Kaossilator Pro and Kaossilator. Here is how I have them set up.

MIC OUT on Kaossilator going to RCA IN on KP3
HEADPHONE on KP3 going to MIC IN on Kaossilator Pro.

I just got to thinking, if the volume is up too high on the Kaossilator, it could mess up the RCA inputs on the KP3, also, what if the MIC IN port on the Kaossilator pro isn't meant for the amount of power output that comes from HEADPHONE OUT on the KP3?

Could I have damaged something?

Well, firstly, are you asking because you've noticed adverse effects (no pun intended)?

If not, I would guess there's no problem.

The KP3 and KPro both do have input level knobs and clipping status LED's, so as long as both of those are lighting up green (not amber or even red), it should be fine.

I'm not entirely sure, however, what a MIC OUT socket is. I assume you either mean the headphone out or the RCA out but mistyped (admittedly, a rather odd typo).

And if that is the order you want your chain to be (KO-1 > KP3 > KPro) then I would suggest only using the RCA/phono connections. If you don't have enough of them, get more. They're pretty cheap.

At around 40s it gets even worse.



Plan is to buy another when I have the spare dough. I hope they are still around in another year or so lol. Until then I'm not touching them until I have the right cables.

Hmm... I think some systematic testing is in order. I couldn't tell you what's causing that. You'll just have to test each output to see which one is, if, indeed, it is one of the outputs. It might be whatever you recorded to.
