Royalties for song samples/dealing with artist labels?

Has anyone had experience with royalties for using a sample from a specific artist? I want to release a song based around a sample of 'One More Time' by Daft Punk, but both them and their label seem impossible to contact- there's very little information available. Maybe it's because I'm not looking on the main French sites, but this process seems very difficult. So, does anyone have experience with these companies?
