Kaoss Pad 3 Doubts.

I've been watching some artists using the Kaoss Pad 3 and what they do is they add an effect to a recorded voice (in the banks) without affecting the other banks with the effect.
For example:
First, they make the drums.
Second, they add a bass.
Third, with the Delay 1, they sing. They delay doesnt seem to affect the other banks.

Is there a way to add an effect to a voice without affecting the other sounds while they are being reproduced?

No, the effect applies simultaneously on all sources (the 4 banks + line/mic input).

yeah, they don't do that, cos they can't

if you mean beardyman, he uses two KP3s to get that effect

Nope, actually i was talking about RoBeat. Check this out:

In the minute 0:56, he makes the guitar sound with an echo and all the sounds (but the guitar) are at normal, when the guitar has the echo.

It's an audio illusion that "all the sounds are at normal." The echo is a digital delay that synced to the beat. It's just easier to hear that FX on long held notes at higher frequencies that change pitch over time, like on the guitar-like mission impossible melody, because you can hear the difference between the current note and the one that's repeating, but you can't hear the difference between the same note (rhythm) that is getting mixed with others on the same beat because they are the same. In other words, a synced digital delay is easier to hear when the notes change over time.

i just got my KP3, and this is one thing was really trying to figure out a way to do. but, sad to see it is not possible.

i wish they would add it - as, it seems like it could be something possible with just a software update. i would love to just keep loops playing, while i record with fx into some new banks. or, more simply even, just affect the live input, while samples continue to play unaffected.

in any case, KP3 still rocks.

I doubt it - not unless the hardware was over-spec'd originally, so that there is enough unused processing power to have multiple buses and apply effects to some while leaving others untouched

yes, i have been reading past number of days about mixers. and, me thinks you are 100% right - there needs to be a bus in there for splitting the playback channels away from the fx bus, which i am sure is done in hardware.

maybe in the KP4! hint hint :-)
