Hello Forum,

Im trying to use my Kp3 as a Midi Controller, I already install the midi drivers, the kp3 editor, and is working the first 5 to 10 minutes, but after I can´t send or recive any signal, at the kp3 editor give me a message that kp3 is not found. when I turn off and turn on it work again, or if I reconnect the usb cable,

Im working with a macbook pro i7, I already check with USB prober (it show that the kp3 is conected), and try diferent usb cables.

Does the kp3 enter on a sleep mode? or something? any suggestions?

Probably some problem with Snow Leopard 10.6.5?

Hey,

The korg USB driver is from another dimension.
If you do have other hardware connected USB/midi, check if they are disappearing when you connect the KP3. I had this funny conflict between the KP3 and my drum pads that prevented me to use any of them.

Anywhoo.. my solution for this is just to trash the korg USB midi driver all together from the library. Everything work fine without it, and sometimes the annoying "KP3 not found" problem doesn't appear.

The other solution if you are desperate to export presets from the editor (and I guess so, since some MIDI functions cannot be edited on the pad directly - I would bomb korg only for that), is to go via the SD card: save the edited preset on the card, put in the KP3, and here you are.

I will also start a petition for this stupid pad to store a bit more midi setup... Like patches of controller assignments. Come on! let's move from the 80's style midi.
Actually 80's midi synth -even the korg one- had better midi support...
