Sam, I closed it down a little while ago...I should go and re-open it again I suppose.

There is also going to be a new Groove XR Forum and website soon, so I was sorta going to wait to see how that pans out, but if you would like me to re-open Lionstracs Forums I can :)

I see. Don't worry about it then. I'll visit it whenever it's ready later on.

The Groove XR website is going to be totally separate from the Lionstracs Forum Sam. It will be only for the Groove XR Rack.

I think the Lionstracs one should probably be re-opened, although over the past few months even when open there pretty much nothing going on at all...

No-one seems to use it anymore.

I thought so. But since they're both using the same software, I think I could still take advantage of the new website. I could definitely use a ligitimate English Manual which I know it's under construction as well.
It will take a while before the forum gets going. Not that many people own these keyboards.

5 days and counting and still haven't been able to download the latest OS and its manual. (according to liontracs website, there's a manual available for OS 5 ).
After solving the shopping cart problem, now i'm stuck with another problem. I'm not completely sure if it's me doing something wrong, or it's just Dominico being over protective of his material.

On the right side of the page, under "order history" , Os 5, and Os 5 Manual are listed. When I click on individual order, I get this page with "my name, address.." etc. At the bottom of the page, it reads:

Download Links: Processing
Link Expires: Sunday 03 April, 2011 , 2 downloads remaining

There's no actual link for me to click on. If in fact, this is not my fault, there's a good chance that link will expire before I even see it.

This whole process doesn't make whole lot of sense to me. In my opinion, there should be a download botton or something for registered users to download whatever they're entitled to, without going through all this. That's the whole point of making something available for "download" so that you can have access to something instantly. May be the Download section should be little more user friendly in the new Groove website?

The new web site is coming along nicely. And is now live. However it is incomplete at time of writing. The new Groove XR user forum serving the territories allocated to Corcyra Global will be at this site as will all downloads to support the Groove XR.

Corcyra Global will only make available on our web site fully tested and supported software and documentation and musical resources for the Groove XR. Anything you get or read elsewhere is not approved or supported by us as distributor. I understand there may be some betas of OS 5 floating around, the wisdom of this is not something we are going to comment on, but it is not the practice of Corcyra Global to release unfinished software.

www.corcyraglobal.com

Corcyra Global is the sole distributor for the Lionstracs Groove XR in USA, Canada, UK, Australia and New Zealand. The web site is for Groove XR customers and dealers in those countries.

Best regards,

Thanks AFG,
The problem is "Liontracs OS5" link is grayed out and so is OS 5 manual.

Does "Processing" mean that Domenico has to "ReAuthorize" a download linkevery time to a registered customer who's been authorized already once??? Even for downloading a manual? If I'm the legit registered/authorized owner of a liontracs keyboard, what else is left to "Process"? Weird!

I've contacted him already, but he hasn't responded yet. Who knows when he's going to read his e-mail.

Rob, Congrats with the new website.

You're right. I think I should just wait for the official release.

Hi Sam and AFG,

Read my email above. You are wasting your time at the moment. I will let you know when OS5 is stable. It should not have been posted on the web site with open permissions, it should have been released only as a closed distribution to Groove XR testers and distributors, James, Helmut and me.

Regards,
Rob

Rob,

remember that the O.S you now have and see, is the result
of tests done by people like me and some other MS users in the past.

few features on qranger and even MS OS are suggestions from me or others so........................

maybe we are not groove XR users but

do not think that experienced users test will not count,

becouse lionstracs else goes the direction that the big 3 are now going.

So experienced users most have the freedom on an open system and not be limited.

if someone wants to be O.S beta tester and is experienced enough, then you should not worry.

and if a new OS is not finished, but is stable like the old O.S

why not let users test the new O.S and make them a little familiar with new options and features?

Hi AFG Music.

I think you misunderstand. Public Beta testing, as in just uploading the OS for anyone to download it is not a good idea. When it's done in private in can be controlled so people like yourself can part of the that beta testing, and talk with others who are also advanced users.

There's also the fact that the public beta was at times many revisions behind what we were testing. Same can be said for what's online now.

Regards
Sharp.

Sharp.

now is clear, and i agree with this.

you're right, this is very good.what did you think about a Bug tracking system?

So beta testers can have a list of all known bugs reported. advanced user (beta testers) can see the buglist before they start reporting a bug.
