Can Programs and Loops be Synced between K Pro and KP3?

Post by OhioBuckeye »

I can get the BPM to sync but it does not appear to sync the actual beat it is on.

Is there a way to sync so that if I start a drum pattern on the K Pro and then start one on the KP3 that they will be in sync at the exact beat? Or loops for that matter as well?

I see you can change the Midi filter for CC messages but if I do that I think the KP3 will entirely just mimic my actions on the K Pro and I do not want that.

Any suggestions?

BMP filter, beat matching. One Kaoss has to be the master and the other has to be the slave. So one is set the take external info and the other is set to send info. Easier to do this via the software provided. You turn off all of the other filters except BMP/time and tempo. you should be good.

Just remember one thing here is that these units were design3ed to work together so syncing the KO with the KP should be simple. Now hook this stuff to sync with your computer and or other midi gear (that is not Korg) you will run into a world of problems. Don't know why it works this way because general midi is suppose to be just general...this is the #1 complaint on the boards. For me I am not all that concerned because of how i work the my Kaoss Pads. In external mode I have not read about any syncing issues. The external control features make the units straight DAW controllers...one great feature being that the KO Pro can be your Keyboard controller alternative (big win in my book).
