My name is Geoffrey Brown, from Connecticut, U.S.A.
For about a year and half now I have been the main U.S. demonstrator for the glorious Korg Wavedrum.
I don't have any official capacity with Korg U.S.A outside of being an occassional, freelance product demonstrator, but I feel that I have a lot to offer the community here (sorry for such a late arrival!).
I have been playing drums and percussion for well over thirty years.
I have an extensive background in music retail, especially with drums.
I have performed in everything from funk/rock bands, to world-music/fusion, to Classical Indian Dance accompaniment, and many things in between.
I absolutely LOVE the Wavedrum!!!
My contributions here are my own and are born from my passion for the product and the desire to share what I have learned and discovered along the way.
There seems to be an awful lot of confusion and misinformation floating around regarding the Wavedrum, so I will do my very best to set the record straight where I can. A YouTube search of my name + Wavedrum will yield much of what I have done so far.
I have been going through the Wavedrum forum in the past few days and have offered several new posts. It seems like a great, supportive environment in there. Looking forward to offering much more in the future!
I always love to hear from anyone who has one of the "Original" Wavedrums from the 1990's (I've never even touched one).
I would especially love to hear from any engineers that were actually involved in designing the current or previous versions of the Wavedrum.
It has changed my world!
