Afternoon All ...

For about a decade I've been threatening to get into music production as a hobby and finally i've taken the plunge... Seeing all the work people have put together on youtube has totally inspired me to buy my first piece of kit.

My Kaossilator Pro is on its way to me as we speak, and already I'm thinking about what to buy next.

Originally I'd planned to get the EMX1 first, but the KPro seemed like a safer starting point...

After spending a few months getting to know the KPro should I graduate to the EMX, or perhaps the MicroKorg ? I don't want to rush things but I'd like to have a decent set up.

Any thoughts on which of the above might work best together? Any other thoughts/suggestions for a newbie are very welcome too

Where you go next is all up to you and what you really want to do.

The EMX is a great piece which is very easy to use, but offers a lot of options and is awesome fun! But it has it's limitations and song mode is pretty cumbersome. It's great for jamming and live play and improv (with a lot of practice) but you would need a PC or some type of recorder if you want to get your music online for people to hear.

Just an opinion, I'm sure you'll get some more too.

Well the Kaossilator arrived.

To say im overwhelmed is an understatement. Im not sure why I was worried aout what kit to get next. This thing will keep me busy for ages!

I do have a pc through which I can listen an upload any music I make. Don't hold your breath. I think it'll be a good while before I post any tunes!
