Just out of curiosity thought I'd share this pic JR posted via Twitter: http://www.mobypicture.com/user/Jcrudess/view/8760912

I think that's an OASYS?

Although I presume he won't've had a chance to upgrade / crossgrade to a KRONOS yet even if he's had a prototype for ages?

:-)

Oh Friday obviously is Korg day! Is Saturday Kurzweil or Yamaha day? Or is it Ivory? ... Sorry, I am confused. Have to check his NAMM agenda posted on his website... otherwise one gets lost with this guy.

He didn't get to keep the Kronos. He won't get one now until they are officially released (or really close to it).

the kronos on which he demoed was empty. Kronos sound engines are not yet ready.

In the backstage, Adam Wakeman was dubbing him (on a Oasys)

That's our ozy; you can never be sure

But I think on this occasion he is enjoying a little moment of merriment

Someone asked him at NAMM apparently
he said that porting everything to kronos will not be as easy as it is thought to be (understandable of course..) and that when they record the new DT album (its only written!) the kronos will be out, and he will use it for the record.

He really is the nicest famous guy i ever met! Meeting him and Jack Hotop at namm was truly awesome!

Huh ?
Hit disk mode and load the OASYS data straight into the Kronos.... job done.

mapping programs in combi mode?
Using new kronos options?
I can imagine a guy like rudess, and even myself, would not buy a new synth just to hit 'load all' from my old one.
Like when i upgraded to triton extreme from karma, i had to not only do the combi program re mapping, but also use some of the new samples, and throw in some valve force.

OASYS, I can guess it from the number of pixels. Kronos has a higher resolution screen that must look a bit different.

Yeah, I can understand that if it was a completely different instrument but it's not. The Kronos has all the exact same OASYS sounds in all the exact same banks.
