Im thinking of getting this option.So what it actually gives to me??Conecting digitaly,&&?? And how does it affect on sound?

It allows you to connect digitally to another ADAT connection. Sound wise it's no better than the SPDIF connection you get on the HDR board. The only advantage it carries is the signal can contain up to 8 channels of Audio at the same time and they can all be controlled separately.

Although I think the Trinity can only make use of 6 of those ADAT channels.

Thats what I wanted to know, so what I need is to connect my trinity to pc through the digital in on my lynx. But Im really interested,what can happen to quality of sound signal in this case, will that be better or worse

Pristine 48k for sure. I have that option and run it directly via Adat to my EMU 1212m soundcard. Really nice. Although, I only use two channels. I think only 4 channels are available from the trinity though and they are really pretty much a copy of the first two. There is a trick on how to get separate ones, but no use, as I think you have to mess around with your effects.

Either way, this is such an awesome option because when my left output died because of the design flaw of the trinity outputs, this didn't affect my digital out. So now I have it connected all the time via adat.
