Dear well of wisdom

I've got myself a Korg PadKontrol to fiddle with Ableton Live 7.
The triggerpads where mapped automatic, but i've got a problem with assigning the X-Y Pad to a vst (synth or effect).

I know that when you press "midi" in Live some stuff turns purple so you can assign a midi controller (knob) to the parameter in Live.
But it doesn't work with the X-Y pad (one of the coolest thing on PK).

So to wrap it up; I want to use the X-Y Pad on PK to control Filter, Delay, Reverb etc etc settings in Ableton Live

Can anyone help me with this problem I'm having?
I apologize if this question was ask before but I couldn't find a clear answer.

Did you turn on the automation for the nanopad in the options of live?
After that you must assign x and y separately!
For assigning the x-axis you must move your finger at the bottom of the nanopad, so you don't change the y-value by accident!
For the y-axis-assignment move your finger at the left side of the xy-pad to avoid accidential x values!

For me that worked...
