Hi,

I recently got one of these from Amazon -

http://www.behringer.com/EN/Products/1002FX.aspx

Very happy with it, depends on your needs and budget of course :)

Cheers,
LW.

I've recently started using a Yamaha MG82cx. Nice. I was using a Behringer 8 channel Eurorack prior to this though. I didn't have the EMX at this time, so I'm thinking of switching back so I can compare. You shouldn't need to spend too much to get a reasonable mixer these days.

I'd stay far away from Behringer.

A lot of guys like their price point but most despise their lack of quality. My friend actually went through 3 failed Behringer mixers in about a year & a half.

It's your money. Go with Mackie.

For what its worth, I have a Behringer XENYX 1832FX mixer here and I absolutely love it, the sound is great (they make a big deal out of the 'British EQs', and they really aren't exaggerating). It has been to gigs and has stayed in good shape for a number of years - not sure how long but I bought it when the XENYX series just came out. Only recently have I damaged one of the LED faders on the 9 band EQ, but it still functions.

Quite a lot like Korg's gear, I do think they offer an unbeatable price to feature ratio, which is always a pretty important factor. As long as you treat your gear with respect then any hardware problems should be few and far between.

The big problem I have with the mixer market is that a number of manufacturers seem to charge a lot for products which on the face of it don't seem to do much.
