I have worked with older Korg workstations and have used the pattern function without problems before. However, it's a little different on the O.
On other Korgs, if you went to pattern, you could set the number of measures as well as get/put patterns from existing MIDI tracks. It was very straighforward and easy to use. While I see some of these same features on OASYS, I've yet to find the right steps to execute these functions.
It's probably easier than it sounds--I'm just not getting the gist of it like before.
Thanks,
Barry

In Sequncer mode , hit the Pattern/RPPR tab at the bottom of the screen.
Next, pull down the 'Page Menu' button in the top right hand corner.
Toggle to 'Pattern Parameter'. With that window open you can now
type in your desired measure length and time signature. I'd strongly suggest
that you name each pattern you create for easy identification when assembling them into a Sequence.
This is all covered starting on p.394 of the parameter guide manual and
p. 461 covers 'pattern parameter'
