linking sliced samples

I've been trying for a while now to get a couple of 6 bar samples of me playing a doombek to the point where I can use them as 1 - 12 bar sample whose tempo I can alter without altering pitch in SEQ mode.
I load the samples as .ksf files to SAMP mode. They're already looped and were a 12 bar sample earlier. I choose a new multisample, name it, assign sample 1 to index 1 and sample 2 to index 2. Then I time slice 1, save it as a multisample to bank E. At this point, I can use it in SEQ mode, no problem. Vary tempo, the works. But it's only 6 bars.
So I go to sample 2, slice it, save it as the same multisample to E bank. But when I go to play it in SEQ mode, all I get is sample 2. I even tried making the start point of the 2nd save bar(measure) 7, thinking that sample 1 would play first and sample 2 6 bars later. No success.
In the process, I also unwillingly create another couple of multisamples.
What am I doing wrong here? I am using both guides but neither shows me how to do precisely what I want.
Thanks.

I guess it<s good to answer my own questions.
I,ve spent a lot of time on this and am only starting to get it.
A couple of helpful things on the forum.
1 is a time slice tutorial from Sharp in 2002. Only deals with 1 loop however.
2 a thread started by handsolo 8sep09 has some useful tips, esp. reinforcing the import. of choosing the save all option in MEDIA/sampling data (creating a .ksc file)
3. It<s vital to understand the ksf/ksp/ksc relationship and the directory structure.
I am at the point where I can load 2-6 bar samples and have them play consecutively in SEQ mode. and adjust tempo without pitch change. What I wanted in the first place.
This is how I do it.
Load ksf file 1. Slice it. Save to E20 (say) Tr1,m.1. Audition in SEQ. (The extra MS file I was worried about is the sliced sample, created auto.)
Load ksf file 2, slice it, save to E21, Tr1, m.7. Audition. They play 1 after the other auto. Good! Finally!
Go to MEDIA, save sampling data, all. This creates ksc file which allows me to load all those samples and MS in the same order the next time.
Also WRITE the 2 new programs in PRG.
What I haven<t been able to do is reload those loops to SEQ and edit them there. Any tips?
Am I the only one who doesn't know how to do this?

[What I haven<t been able to do is reload those loops to SEQ and edit them there]
Better to say reload the programs (E20 and 21) and edit them.[/quote]
