How to kill the arpeggiator?

Every time I flip from one program to another, the flipping arpeggiator comes on. I have to reach over (if I'm at the computer) or up and hit the arpeggiator button to turn it off. Every single flipping time, even if all I want to do is play the keyboard. Isn't there a global arpeggiator kill code, an option to turn the arpeggiator off permanently until otherwise turned on? I am really sick of having to hit the arpeggiator button with every program change. Why does the keyboard assume I am going to use the arpeggiator with everything? It's just annoying.

found it. all arp/dt off. simple enough, after searching through the index in eight places and then having to go to the software-only pdf of the programming guide.

Many of the M50's programs and combinations are programmed with a built-in arp. That is common with many synths & workstations.

Simply shut off the arpeggiator first, and then SAVE that program or combi so it won't be active the next time you select it.

Yes, I see that now. Korg's manuals can be a bit like military manuals, with references and cross-references across several volumes. I think someone on Korg's documentation staff may have a military background.

Also my apologies for the attitude in the initial entry. I am in constant pain more or less these days, and small inconveniences can feel like sudden disasters springing up in my face.

Gridsleep,

The pdf manuals are a good resource, particularly if they have the cross referencing done already. You can also use the "find" function in pdf documents to search for key words or phrases.

Harder is figuring out the Korg-speak version of what you want to do.

Sorry to hear about the pain, hopefully the music takes your mind off it. Keep us in mind, we can (mostly) provide answers on whatever you need to do here to keep the music flowing.
