Hello everyone!
I have been looking around the site some time and i recall a thread about having the ESX OUT going to the EMX IN and the volume of the ESX was diminished greatly for some reason, and there was some way to fix it....only, I can't remember what it was you do to fix that problem..
can anyone help me out and tell me what you do to fix this volume reduction problem?
muchos gracias to any help on the situation

ALRIGHTY!
okay now well I'm sure a lot of you are going to be totally

at me but I was doing some re-reading of my manual and I decided to try to hook up my midi cable ESX OUT to EMX IN on the midi hook ups and it totally worked on syncing up the machines only problem was still no audio, then I realized the AUDIO IN THRU button and decided to push it..... big mistake... the audio in volume was totally rockin loud so it scared the hell out of me with 125watts right around my feet..
I do not know how I hooked the two together before rearranging my studio but I did manage to hook up everything so i had pisspoor audio volume and quality coming through as read about being able to accomplish in another thread somewhere around here in this forum.
I apologize for my daft questioning in my previous post in this thread, I meant the ESX control going out from it into the EMX while syncing them up so the audio can be played through one and have the tempo matched. ...jeez I really wasn't clear on that at all...sorry

that thread just helped me get around this whole problem of the ESX being the master (good) and controlling everything the EMX does [samples from the ESX in the keynote area triggering the same spots on the EMX]
...just incase anyone having similar troubles that reads this forum

Do not send the audio out of the ESX into the EMX at all. The EMX's audio in is mono, so you would lose the sterio output of the ESX. Do it the other way around as the ESX's input is stereo.
For this you will need a double mono to single stereo 1/4" cable. These are commonly called 'insert cables' in music shops.
