ok i am really embarrassed and mad at myself. i was setting up for a late rehearsal, so i was really tired, but i accidentally got my power supplies switched and plugged 16 v into my synth. a few minutes later we were wondering what smelled so bad. it was something in my ms2000 melting. now what i have is this on startup:

audio inputs blink red then stay green, and lcd screen is green with no text. the synth stays on for the remainder of being powered on, but no other buttons seem to work, and the unit doesnt seem to transmit anything.

has anyone else out there done this? there is most likely many things that could have happened, and obviously its hard to diagnose over forums, but does anyone know what i ruined and/or what type of repair is going to be needed. the unit comes on basically but doesnt work. is there a fuse or did i fry something important? thanks for any help.

i am also in so cal if anyone knows a good repair shop.

If your MS2000R has been trailing black smoke and the engine is sputtering, you might want to check your chute and bail out on that one. It looks like you could pull the screws off of the back and look for anything visible that burned.
There is an authorized parts dealer, but you would be guessing at buying parts and what's a replacement one going to cost you? couple of hundred bucks if you get it from a guy who put it on ebay in the middle of the night when he was drunk.
Good luck. I would like to hear if you get it revived. let me know if you want I'll try to find you that parts place authorized Korg dealer. There are only a couple of them I think, and all the repair shops have to go through them.
