Scales...which ones do you use most?

Hello,

I've gotten used to using the Ionian scale, as it's the scale it defaults to. I'd sort of like to branch out though.

So my question is this...What scale do you use most and why?

Minor pentatonic
Major pentatonic
Minor blues
Japanese

I pick the scale based on the chord progression of the song.

dorian and aeolian are my favorite minor ones, along with the major an dminor pentatonic, egyptian, gypsey, and the asian scales...locrian is also a very mystical sounding minor key

Major and Minor Pentatonic -- keeps things nice and simple.
