help with kp1- rane ttm 56

just found my kp1 and was wondering how to hook it up to my rane ttm 56
i have tried all kind configurations but just cant seem to get any effects
im only using 1 turntable hooked up through phono
some pics of the setup would be ideal

The connection diagrams are on pages 8 and 9 of the manual for the Kaoss Pad 3 -- the connections will work the same for the Kaoss Pads 1 and 2:
