Korg Z3 Editor?

Hi
I was thinking of getting a Korg Z3 (the guitar synth), as I've heard some demos and it seems it could be something nice to add to my setup.
However, I don't have a guitar yet, but since it is an FM synth and I don't have any old FM synth, I was thinking I could still use it as a regular synth, and it could still add something to my setup.
Unfortunately it seems that it's not possible to edit the unit using the interface, so I was wondering if there is any free editor available for it?
Anyone knows of one?
And also, what are your opinions about this machine?
Is it possible to get nice sounds out of it?
And using with a guitar, are the results pretty cool?
