I agree, in those days I was happy with a cardboard box with notes drawn on it. Of course now I'm "old" I do have higher expectationspanrixx wrote:Speaking for myself, I got a job and saved - that's the usual route. However, 'in those days' your expectations were probably not so high.Synthesizedclapping wrote:How did all you older folk make money for gear back in the day?

Please pass me the gun now!Synthesizedclapping wrote:Was under 18 before 2000Pepperpotty wrote: I'm almost afraid to ask. But what qualifies as an "old folk"? Lol.

Well in that case you have plenty of time to save. At least by that time you will be 100% that it's the one you want and you might even get it at a better price or even second hand.Synthesizedclapping wrote:Yes srry hahaha, well I'm much younger than that.Pepperpotty wrote:Don't you mean over 18 before 2000? My amp is a Line 6 spider IV 30. It has some really great effects and presets. Plus it sits at just the right height for my cat to sit on and watch the birds out of the window! I don't play gigs or anything. It's really just for my own amusement but you're right about keyboards helping you to play better. It's not magic but I think that if you have a great instrument in front of you then you feel more inspired to play. That way you play better and you create better music. Plus you sound better too!Synthesizedclapping wrote:Well I try and be careful. I need to sell it soon.Pepperpotty wrote:Wow, you're braver than I am! But then my amp is still kind of new so I'm slightly more wary about blowing it.Synthesizedclapping wrote:
Anything sure would beat the yamaha psr-270 goin through the monotron into a used 15w guitar amp that distorts everything.
What amp do you use?
