I was going to gripe here... but then I thought I would push some more buttons first and ....Wow !! I'm impressed again at this nice piece of gear. I have too much equipment and I've been getting rid of some of it, and now I think I'll get rid of some more. Because the PA588 is pretty good on analogue synth. I don't know all that about shaping the analogue sounds.. the LFO's and UFO's and all that. But this thing will do quite a bit of that.
I mean you need a stab synth for that Van Halen Jump sound and you can get it to morph a little into something else.
My gripe that disappeared had to do with the fact that I got a cool sound that I really liked with the Noisy Stab performance, but something happened in the headphones so that I was getting a really slow mushy attack. I thought it was in the 8 channel interface or some FX in the computer. Then i went straight to the phones jack and still it was mushy and slow. Then I went to the onboard speakers and it was right again.
So I went through some synth "SOUNDS" and then back to the "PERFORMANCES" and whatever was making it slow and reverby disappeared and it was good again. So I don't know how to complain. Just.. wow this is more versatile than I thought. Have to practise more button pushing and programming to go along with being a piano player.
bye
have a good one.
