Yes, it's an Aeron. I had a past life as a software developer, so my butt was a big investment. :)

Crappy phone shot. Amped up the light a bit. Such is life.

Zeroesque wrote:EnjoyRC, does the keyboard tray get in the way at all, or force you to move the Kronos and your seat higher than you might otherwise like? How wobbly do the KRKs get on those stands when you're playing, if at all? I like the compact setup.
The keyboard tray slides in, and yes, the Kronos is a bit higher than I'd like it but the convenience of the keyboard and mouse are great. The picture is a bit misleading. It's closer to the Kronos than you think. Only a couple inches below it. In the photo, it's pulled out.

The KRKs are surprisingly sturdy on the On Stage Workstation. I was shocked.

The weight of them at the outside edge probably serves to anchor and stable-ize the entire workstation. that's a cool workstation stand! I would prefer if the top middle "shelves" were one continuous center top shelf, however. JMO.

My Kronos is on an Omnirax Force 24 desk. It's got rack spaces on either side and a rather substantial riser that is separate, but that rolls up to the desk itself (so no space wasted on a hutch). It's got space enough for my interface, preamps, a power amp for my Auratones, and a bunch of stuff that comes and goes, depending on how close I want it to me. Essentially, it's a big desktop without a lot of stupid additions and cubbies..which I did NOT want. I don't use the key tray but rely on a small rolling laptop stand that I can move around the room (Office Depot and SUPER cheap).

Next to me, my DSI PolyEvolver and Yamaha CP5 are on a Roland KS-G8 keyboard stand...probably the best stand I've ever owned. It's a tank, super strong, super well-built, and rather nice looking.

I'd recommend either of these products wholeheartedly. Good, sturdy furniture without a lot of gimmicks.

RonF - So I have much less gear than you! But we have one item in common other than the Kronos.... I have the same chair - and love it.

Yes the Aeron chair is perfect for what we do. Very comfortable and good support and mobility. My ONLY wish/complaint about it....I wish I could swing the right arm-rest out of the way when I want to play guitar. Now THAT would make it truly perfect. As it is, I need to slide my butt forward enough so the body of my Axe can set on my knee in FRONT of the arm rest. Minor thing...but hey.....one can dream! :D

Sadly, as my cell is just under 7ft square (!!!) there's not enough room in here to swing a cat (I tried, but my neighbour's moggy wasn't too happy, although I have succeeded in recreating the same noise it made with the AL-1 )

I can only work with two keyboards at any one time, so my workflow isn't so good, but the Kronos should help improve things until the new extension is built, which will quadruple my floor space :D
