McHale wrote:...when you play live it's pretty critical to have a backup of the gear you use. Sometimes it gets broken or lost and you have a show the very next day. You don't have time to buy more stuff and get it set up.
Second (or is it third) this. In my case it's guitars, but for my main performing instruments I always had pairs, or at least two models so close that I could substitute. My collection never hit the size of jamsire or McHale's. I liked the (pretty unique) balance and tone and pickups on the early high-end Ovations, and they fit what I play. The iGuitar is mainly for MIDI capture, though it has been stretching me musically in pleasant ways.

But here's a funny digression on backup instruments.

Ovation has gone down hill, mine are getting old, and two years ago, I sucked it up and bought a pair of the Composite Acoustic dreadnought models (a 6-string and a 12-string). I'm not gigging much these days, but from force of habit I did consider getting a pair of the 6-strings.

Then I saw the video of somebody driving a Hummer over one of them without doing anything worse than damaging the finish. And I realized that if you stick a carbon fiber guitar into a hard-shell case, the guitar is reinforcing the case rather than the other way around.

Can't wait for the carbon fiber KRONOS.

Hi Ron,

This is a combination of a standard wall mount kit you can buy from Vogels http://www.vogels.com/web/Consumer/Advi ... ingo-1.htm and a small aluminium bracket I have build. I used one of the original skrews from my MO6 to fix it to the keyboard.

In this case the bracket fits into my flightcase and I can very easy mount the iPad :-)

Man so many incredible setups.

Bruce yours does look as peaceful as can be! I'm not a huge fan of having 50 keyboards (although I'm slowly getting a collection of my own so I can see how it can happen).

But the focus on those 3 main boards and the grand piano on the side...thats my type of room.

Just a detail. Bruce. how do you use the mouse and keyboard? If I was to use it, I would break my neck when trying to watch what I was doing on the Mac. :P
