You are completely right but then again...the V Synth was designed JUST FOR THAT...
Kronos of course is the King of All but...Workstations. And of course, not a single
Korg WS i ever used as a Workstation, only same way as you do...but then again...
Some things are designed and created JUST for particular things and the V Synth
is just that, an ambient Experimental machine.

Richard Barbieri has managed to get some fantastic textures from his V synth, if you listen to his solo albums or more recent Porcupine Tree tracks. Is this the sort of sound you want to explore?
