Im just curious, I have an M-Audio Oxygen49 and FCB1010, can I just set up the M3M so that certain functions, like the sliders and knobs and pedals, work globally across all patches? Or do I have to do this on a patch by patch basis?

Im just wondering if I can have a dedicated, permanent, savable controls for Cutoff, Resonance, FX send on the Oxygen, and then have master volume, sustain, etc on the FCB1010, everytime I turn on the M3M, and how to perform this... give me some advice guys. thanks

Yes, you can do this globally. You create an External setup in Global mode, P1 MIDI on the Ext-1 tab. (See page 131 in the Operation Guide, and page 385 in the Parameter Guide) Once you've made a setup you're happy with, ensure you write those changes permanently with the Write Global Settings command.

The external setup you create will work across all programs, combis and in Sequencer mode when you press the External button next to the control surface.

Thanks man, I figured as much but figured asking here would be faster than reading the whole manual... :-)

You're welcome. :)

As for the manuals, yeah I get that. Although, it's very easy to search the PDF versions for what you're looking for. You can use the search function, or you can click on the text in the table of contents and jump right to a page. I usually find what I need to look up in just a few seconds. Korg did a fantastic job setting up those PDFs for ease of use.
