check this guy out!
Saw his band last week, did a youtube search and found this. He says he has a Kronos 73 on the way.

Nothing bad, but nothing exceptional. And 0 reaction from the crowd.
But he does seem to have the same rotating stand that I do - which makes him awesome. haha.

He doesn't seem to have many of the keyboard parts to those songs right.

That is the same place I got mine from. I have the 2-tier stand though. I also have the laptop attachment (a smaller 3rd tier), as well as the microphone attachment which allows me to spin it without hitting a mic stand.BillW wrote:His came from here:Jon Lord wrote:Are all of your rotating stands custom made or is there actually any place to order them?

I just looked for about 30 min through videos on youtube of our band live and can't find a single clip that shows the stand in action...which only means I obviously don't move enough.
I got so sick and tired of simply sitting or standing behind the keyboard and not being able to really move at all. Its not that expensive, a little bulky, pretty darn sturdy (easily held my 88 Triton and CX3), and very flexible (removable 2nd tier, able to be moved up and down even after everything is set up via the hydraulic foot pump).
Overall I'm very happy with it, and have gotten a good amount of comments on it.
One thing I have never done is a full 360 (or more) spin while playing. Now that I think about it...I gotta fit that in one of my solos some how.
But they are great...and the guy that sells them is a home-business I think, so you can customize the hell out of it.
The movability and stage presence it adds is worth it to me. Add onto that when I midi a Wii Rockband keytar to an electric guitar lead sound - and yeah, I at least look cool while hacking away at the keys. lol
Hmm looks interestingBillW wrote:http://www.twisterstand.com/aboutthetwisterstand.cfmJon Lord wrote:Are all of your rotating stands custom made or is there actually any place to order them?
Could anybody post their setups with this istand? And i wonder if he ships to Europe, tho I can imagine the shipping costing too much.

See my response above yours. I used (up until 2 days ago) a Korg Triton ProX 88 key and a Korg CX3 Clonewheel on the 2-tier version of it and it is pretty darn sturdy. I was never concerned anything would fall off or it would tip over or anything like that.Jon Lord wrote:Hmm looks interestingBillW wrote:http://www.twisterstand.com/aboutthetwisterstand.cfmJon Lord wrote:Are all of your rotating stands custom made or is there actually any place to order them?, but does not look very sturdy.

It wobbles a very slight amount, but again its nothing that would cause anything to fall off it nor would cause it to tip over. Some of the songs I play...I'm wailing on the keyboard pretty hard. Put it this way, I found it sturdier than the Apex stands.
I've owned 6 stands...and the only thing sturdier than this stand would be my Z-Stand. But I really don't think anything can get any sturdier than those. I use the 360 stand over my X-stand, Apex, and others.

Looks like the guy can play, but the clav/drum thing was DORK city! I don't care how many lights and fog machines you throw at him. If he milked the spinning stand a little more, maybe it could be something for the cool factor I suppose.
I'm sorry but there's really no way to make the keyboard player cool like a rock star IMO. They can be lots of other things to be admired for sure, but if you want that ya should have picked up guitar. I say this as a keyboard player.
To the guy's credit though, he's certainly "Cooler" than many keyboardists I've seen locally. So kudos in that context I guess.
