As I scrutinize this image, I can't help notice the reflection in the computer monitor. Is that, perhaps, a tumbler of red wine set atop your Shigeru? Impossible. I won't believe it.Bruce Lychee wrote:![]()

That single spacing difference is bigger than mine are.
If it really bothers you, ask for exchanging the keybed.
Mine looks very even:

Sharp, why doesn't the Photo show up? I thought this is the correct BBCode?

Take a shot from the same angle as mine. That angle you have wouldn't reveal the different key levels.jimknopf wrote:That single spacing difference is bigger than mine are.

I'm not sure what is up with the lighting in your picture either. Do you have a shot that isn't cropped?
I take it you would not be happy with mine either?

I believe it's because of ?psid=1 at the end and extraneous spaces before https and at the end. Here's correct:jimknopf wrote:

Now come on, Bruce, some back light from a window won't stop you from seeing the even spacing, won't it?
I thoroughly checked it: I have no height difference at all in my keys!
I can wipe my hand from top to bottom without one single edge or unevenness.
I certainly won't go back making more photos pleasing your demands, just because you fail to take my word and won't acknowledge facts, even after a photo telling enough from my view.

Thanks, EvilDragon, that was it!

Jim. I'm not talking about the spacing. I was just pointing out that your photo could be much more helpful.
Again, I ask if you would consider mine acceptable?

I would dislike the one bigger space, or uneven heights, just like you and decide if it bothers me enough or not. As I said, in doubt, I would ask for a replacement of the keybed.
Asked the other way round:
Will you acknowledge that I have no problems at all with mine?
It's a fine keybed for me, and just fits my playing like a glove.
I'm not in search for anything else, for my purposes an my feel.

What matters is if you like it. I could acknowledge that yours is constructed properly if you provided a more useful picture. That was my point. Your spacing looks better but not excellent but I can't judge level differences from that angle at all.jimknopf wrote:I would dislike the one bigger space, or uneven heights, just like you and decide if it bothers me enough or not. I just looked at my S90ES, the heights and spaces look perfect. Maybe over time it will go off like any other mechanical device?
Jim, your keybed looks really nice. I wonder if transporting it sometimes screws things up? I know that on some of the Yamaha models, if you store them upside down or sideways, the keys can sometimes seem mis-aligned.

That was the point in question, Bruce.jimknopf wrote:Objectively speaking, "uneven levels, spacing, clicking, etc." is no acceptable description for the Kronos 73 keybed I use daily.Bruce Lychee wrote: Objectively speaking, I don't see how anyone can argue that the construction of the RH3 is as good as the action on premier stage pianos. Uneven levels, spacing, clicking, etc.
I leave it to anyone to make their own judgement based on my photo, and on my confirmation, that I don't have a single bit of uneven heights (you would recognize considerable unevenness even on that photo, even if the angle is not ideal for THAT purpose). Do you doubt my confirmation?
And while I acknowledge problems where I can recognize them like in your case, and - just like Dan - suggest you to contact Korg for replacement, you still refuse to acknowledge the simple fact that I have ZERO problems with my Kornos 73 keybed, and that your slandering of RH3 keybeds in general can't make much sense to me. Korg has to take care of quality management from my view as well, but apart from that I will contradict such slandering anytime.
I won't discuss this further with you, because I don't see you up to the challenge of a fair and halfway consistent Kronos assessment, looking back at the discussions about various Kronos topics in the last weeks.

All I asked you to do was post a picture that shows a better angle to reveal any level issues. I acknowledged the spacing on yours is better. Go back and read a little more carefully. Your excitement over this issue seems to have affected your reading comprehension.
As for being fair, I don't thing I'm any more a critic then you are a fanboy. Somewhere in the middle I'm sure there is truth. Nevertheless, I didn't rearrange my keys to look like crap nor did I write the memo to keep your cardboard inserts.

When I zoom in on Jim's pic, it appears to me that there are significant differences in the spacing between keys, and a few height differences as well. Even the keys on my 1998 P200 look better - and they are going back to Yamaha later this week to be replaced (Yamaha pays for the keys, I pay for the labour).
Neither nor to any degree that would play any role in playing.
When I zoom in on some posts here, I see lots of weird things as well.
Man, I play that keyboard each day, and I begin to find it really funny how others try to interpret pure nonsense and non-existent problems into it.
But IF anyone has that kind of minimalistic problem expressed here, that certainly isn't my cup of tea anymore. Then we should just agree that I am living in a completely other world of music making than some.
