Load patches from KLC M1 to M1 hardware synth?

Hello,
As I want to keep recording M1 sounds from hardware synth into my DAW, I'm wondering if it is possible to export M1 KLC patches and load them into hardware M1??
KLC M1 have ability to save patches into .m1prog and .m1all format, etc. But as KLC software added additional wave forms which are not present in the memory of hardware M1 - will it work then?
Before, more than 10 years ago, it was possible to buy Frontal Lobe expansion from Cannon Research that add additional wave forms to M1.
I have RAM cards that I can use with hardware M1 but I'm not sure how to manage this.
Any idea?
Thanks in advance.

I don't think you can export the waveforms from the software. Even if Korg were to allow this (at this point I don't see how it would hurt them to do so), there is no simple way to add them to an M1/R.
As for the preload/card patches themselves, it's no issue to obtain those from other sources. But what about user created patches? Are the m1prog and m1all files merely sysex?
Perhaps Korg doesn't think enough people have both the virtual and real M1, that they need to bother implementing an "export to sysex" option.
edit:
I saw your thread in the "misc synth" subforum. I don't know what he means either, but $80 is much cheaper than looking for and buying all the separate M1 pcm cards.

Well that's the big question. I have searched but couldn't find a software that can 'convert' the .m1prog and .m1all files to sysex or other M1 hardware compatible format.
There is an interesting thing here:

Maybe if there is a demand this could also be done for M1...

I've been thinking of sending a request to Korg about adding an "export patches to sysex" feature. Perhaps you could do the same?
Of course, it could only be enabled for patches that use at maximum, the factory waveforms, plus those from a single virtual pcm card. And the user would require the actual pcm card in question, for the given patches to work. But users who have the hardware, probably know the drill.
And I think they'd have to have separate export functions for the M1 and the EX versions.

Sure, maybe you can make a pool?

Because I think it is not easy to get in touch with Korg Support dep...

Well I think that it should not be hard to create a software "out of box" that translates or converts KCL M1 patches to sysex.
The question is: Does Korg recognize this as a necessary? As Hardware M1 has been abandoned for more that 15 years from the developers point of view.

Easy enough to contact them, maybe not so easy to get them to respond.

Easier for Korg, since they have the file spec. Unless they'd be willing to give that out?

Therefore the need to show them interest. There should be a lot of the machines still kicking around. They appear fairly often on ebay and kijiji etc.

OK will do, can you please send me their contact details on PM?
Cheers.
any progress?

I would like to do the exact same thing...
