Greetings,
I am now a proud owner of a new 88-key Korg Kronos. I traded my 88-key Korg Oasys to complete the purchase at a local music store. I am looking forward to making great music with this instrument. I also look forward to actively participating in discussions on this Kronos section of the Korg forum in the future.
Best Always!

sweet! Hey, you were on the Fusion forums at one point, weren't you?
Welcome to the Kronos family - It's great to have you over here!

Welcome, as you notice the Kronos forum is very active (especially compared with older model forum parts).

Hi Jeebustrain,
No, I never owned a Fusion, so that was not me on that particular forum. That is a cool keyboard though.
Take care!

Yes michelkeijzers, I have noticed that. A lot of great thoughts and ideas...that is something I can appreciate.

Okay Apex, I won't tell you if I had to give them money too (ha, ha).
All kidding aside, I prepared myself to bite the bullet if I had too. Yes, I had all of the emotional reactions towards the Korg company that the members of the Oasys portion of the Korg forum felt during this process (anger, betrayal, being used, etc.). In the end, I just wanted to play quality music and do so with a quality instrument that contained features useful to me. So, I made the tough decision to part ways with the Oasys.
There were improvements in the Kronos that I wanted to have at my disposal and I knew that by holding on to my Oasys, I was only going to frustrate myself by delaying the trade.
Hope that makes sense.
Peace.

It was a hard decision, but I do not regret the decision. I am growing fond of the Kronos.

I did the same; it was a no-brainer. The only thing that might have dissuaded me would have been the build quality difference and the lights around the physical controllers. Both would matter to a gigging keyboardist, which I'm not. I didn't once use the CD-drive (except for updates) on the OASYS.
The quality of the new engines, the identical sound quality overall, and the solid state drive all got my attention. An unexpected bonus for me is the keybed. It is the nicest I've ever played, and that includes my OASYS.

I remember there were users on the other forum who were not fond of the new keybed. I am like you...I love it! The keybed, coupled with the new sounds, feels very good and is very playable.
