I have a electribe ESX-1 with smartmedia, how do I get what ive made on the electribe off of it?

where do you want to take it? if you want to save everything for backup purposes, buy a smart media card and save to it. That will be like taking a snapshot of your device at that moment, all patterns and data.

if you want to make your songs into mp3s, the cheapest and easiest way is to buy a usb audio interface to plug into your computer, and record and encode with the free sound editor audacity.

Or you can do a real tme recording and buy an exernal Burner, Like a sony rcd w-1 and record it to cd!

I record my indiviual sound parts in pro tools and just line them up.
I have seen other famous musicians do this and then finish producing in the program.

This is probably best for mastering/further mixing and adding production to your tracks
