Issues with programs I-E 036/ I-E 038

Post by SynthKeyWizard »

Hi all. Does anyone have issues with programs I-E 036/ I-E 038? I found that these programs sound incorrectly in my Kronos 73. Program still sounds after note release, but it sounds wrong. Problem is only with these two programs.

Nope-they sound perfect on my K61. Did you mangle these programs by mistake? Try reloading them from the Factory Preload.

Factory preload doesn't help. But i found a solution. After initialization of internal memory and then loading PRELOAD.PCG problem is gone. Maybe this will help to someone. :idea:

PRELOAD.PCG = factory preload.

If the sounds of the Programs changed after reloading the factory preload, this means that they had been edited.

PRELOAD.PCG = factory preload.
Simple loading of PRELOAD.PCG does not helps. I have to initialize memory, then load PRELOAD.PCG, and then it works normally.

I'm not sure that I understand. What do you mean by "initialize memory?" What did you do to achieve this, specifically?

I used a 'factory data restore" disk to initialize memory. In the menu of this disk, I chose the fourth paragraph "initialize memory". This action had erased all the internal memory. Then I loaded the PRELOAD.PCG file.

I think what happened is a failure in the structure of the patches, because I have not edited these programs ever. At the moment everything works fine. I hope this information helps anyone else. Thank you for your feedback.

I appreciate your comments, and I understand that things worked properly for you after you did this. However, using the restore DVD's Initialize Memory function isn't materially different from loading a PCG file.
I hope that this is helpful towards understanding the system. I'm glad that it's working well for you now.
