Oh yes, Tony Banks is a pionner in that field. While everyone was on minimoog, Banks was using ARP Pro-Soloist, ARP Quadra. I'm a big fan of his work, I have to admit.

When you think about it, that stuff is fairly old. By today's standard, it was quite an accomplishement at the time.

I love early genesis - mostly the stuff with Peter Gabriel or at least Steve Hackett.
Some great classic synth/keys sounds in there, particularly the taurus, and the watcher of the Skies Mellotron.
Great bit of British prog.

Can't stand the later stuff, personally.

Same here. Although I have a soft spot for Trick of the tail and some other later songs here and there.
