[COMPLAINT] Over 2 Months Waiting and still no Keyboard

Hello everyone.
I know this is the korg forum USA. And I bought my korg in Canada, Toronto. And Jam Industries makes them. But I had no choice.
I need real help.
I bought my Korg Kronos 88 key keyboard in Mississauga at LA Music.
I have not received the keyboard. At first LA Music said 1 month and the keyboard would be delivered. Not a word. I called they said they have no idea when it would be in.
I got so mad I emailed korg Canada. This is the response I got.
Hello Michael,
Ron Zacharias is the Korg representative for your region. Here is an email he sent to you but it bounced back, so I am passing it along. Thank you.

Hello Michael,
I am the Ontario sales representative for Korg products. It has come to my attention that you are eagerly anticipating the arrival of your Kronos88 workstation. On behalf of Korg let me thank you for the enthusiasm you've shown for what is proving to be one of the most exciting products in Korg's history.
As with any popular new products, delivery of enough units to satisfy the marketplace is a challenge, which has over the past few months been made even more challenging as Japan has had to deal with the effects of the tsunami. Rest assured though that Korg is building as many units as is possible and we have shipments on schedule to arrive in Canada each and every month. Unfortunately, there are many factors beyond our control that affect the timing of shipments and information regarding the eta of a particular shipment can change daily. At best, the eta we give our dealer network is precisely that - an 'estimated time of arrival'
Additionally, we know what we've requested in terms of quantity from Japan, but the reality is that until the shipment arrives safely in our building we cannot guarantee that every order for every dealer will get filled. Nevertheless, we understand the desire of someone like yourself to have an idea about the expected arrival date and so we strive to provide our dealers with as much information as possible as it becomes available. This information is updated frequently and would explain why you may receive what seems like contradictory information at times. We are doing our best to secure a unit for LA music in Mississauga in as short a timeframe as possible given that currently demand is far outweighing supply.
We appreciate your patience and most of all your enthusiasm for Korg.
Sincerely,
Ron Zacharias
Korg Canada
That was on Oct. 6.
Since then I've emailed them nice emails asking where is my keyboard and I have not yet had a reply. This is ridiculous, I have been waiting over 2 months for my keyboard...
I am so mad...
Thank you.
Michael

Wow so sorry bro. Thats gotta really suck.
But you gotta understand Korg's side as well cause, like he said, they have such huge demand on the Kronos that they can't fulfill the orders in time.
This isn't Korgs fault really, its the dealerships fault for promising you the K within an unrealistic time frame.
I would deal with LA Music and speak with the manager/owner and get angry. Their bound to do something for you.
Good luck mate and try your best to be patient! It'll pay off in the end
cheers
Elfo

Sorry to hear that. Can't you just cancel the order and get it from someone that has it in stock? I'd figure other dealers should have it at this point no?

I'd suggest, just cancel your order from this dealer and buy it elsewhere. There are plenty available.

Hey Michael,
Sorry that you have to wait so long. It won't give you your K88 but i can tell you this: I work in a music store in Quebec city and we received a grand total of one(1) K88 since the launch. That one was reserved to a customer since January after the NAMM announcement. We received a small batch of 61 and an even smaller batch of 73 and we only have one of each available right now. All the rest is sold. So, it's not LA Music or Korg Canada's fault. They can't sell you something they don't have!! I can only advise you to wait. Unless you have concerts soon and you don't have any keyboard, it's worth the wait. Heck, i ordered one K73 to my sales rep on the first day at NAMM 11 when i saw and heard it, and i just received it last month.

I decided not to order one but just look for a store that has it in stock. I'm in Holland (Europe). One month ago there were a few Kronos 61 available so I ordered one and it was sent away. However, some people who ordered one got it faster, but also some are still waiting (like you).
If you want to be sure, you can better order one from a store that has one in stock.

FYI, this isn't specifically Korg USA's forum, and it's not an official support channel.

And good luck with finding a Kronos!

thanks guys for the reply. I really want the 88 key or if I have to maybe purchase the 73 key. I was checking all around and every store is sold out. The only store that has a 73 key version is 30 minutes North of my place. I could get my money back and buy that one.
I do have my first concert coming up in May so I need it...

Year right.. they just use KORG's brand name, need to remove that tag line which means nothing but creates a false impression that this is the official KORG forum to new users.
Can't you buy from UK? There is plenty available here. E.g.:

I waited 3 months plus for my K61, so I know what that is like. The only reason that I didn't cancel my order and just get one, was that I got such a super price and I Know that I would not probably be able to duplicate it.
It was so frustrating, I was tempted to cancel the last week of the order. At that point I was even considering a JP80 because I couldn't bear to have to buy one at a greater price than the one on order. However, my K came about a week after my meltdown.
So, I would go along with Kron and others. There always seems to be on Ebay, authorized dealers that have them. Or Sweetwater, Musicians Friend, GC online, West LA music...just check and see if they are in stock and if they are, it should be heading right on out to ya!
