Some Silly Newbie Kaossilator Questions

I apologize in advance for what I assume are some pretty stupid questions, but I'm completely new to this and just want to make sure I get everything right.

I just bought a Kaossilator and am currently just using headphones, but of course that's really not going to cut it. I have two bass amps that I will be able to connect it to in the future, but right now they are in another state and for the time being I simply don't have the space.

I am looking for speakers of some sort to use temporarily that are relatively cheap and not too large; sound quality is not of the utmost importance now, so even computer speakers would do. Does anyone have any recommendations? Could I connect basic computer or bookshelf speakers to the Kaossilator, either through the headphone jack or using an RCA adapter (I already have one)?

Thanks for your help!

Connecting two computer speakers or a home hi-fi system (or home cinema system) will give you better sound quality than "two bass amps". Modern synths aren't really designed to play through amps as guitar amplifiers distort and shape the sound in numerous ways that might sound okay for the bass or guitar, but Synths really need a 'clean' or 'flat' response system like that you would normally listen to music or mix on.

Use the RCA outputs if you can.

For me I scoured the goodwills and second hand shops. I bought a Sony home surround reciever for $75 and a couple of older Harmon Karmon (sp?) speakers for $50. Sounds great in the basement. Loud enough to get my wife to yell 'turn that crap down!'...awesome! I even changed the display from CD to FUNKYZIET. Perfect for what I want to do. My reciever has a subwoofer out which would rock with your bass amp. Then your neighbours would be yelling. So my suggestion is hit garage sales and pawnshops if you're looking for a basic setup.
