Importing files into Sequencer

Could anyone help me with this please.
I've loaded .wav files into HDD but can't get to do anything with them in Sequencer. I've followed the 'Track Edit', 'Audio Event Edit', 'Track End', 'Insert', 'Select First Event', ''Import' routine and can see the files I want on the 'Import Region/Wave' screen but both 'Play' and 'OK' buttons are diabled so I can't get any further.
I'd be very grateful if someone could shed some light on where I'm going wrong.
Thanks

When you're creating a new region to host the WAV file, check if your WAV file meets the following considerations: You can only import WAVE files with a sample rate of 44.1 or 48 kHz and 16/24 bits, and which are no longer than 80 minutes.

Yes it was the 48kHz sample rate that fixed the problem and the video was a great help too. Thanks to all who replied, very much appreciated
