I may not understand. Do you mean that they said that spare parts were required in order to tighten the hinges on the screen? From the info I have on this, no parts should be necessary; one should simply be able to tighten a couple of screws. I'll ask about this again.

Dan Phillips' statement strenghtens my confidence in KORG again and (not beeing afraid of completely contradicting myself) I have to revise my statement in the previous post of this thread, that I would never again buy a KORG product. Though I don't think I will buy the OASYS successor, as an owner of already two OASYS-88, it is still highly possible that I will buy the successor of the current successor...

I've confirmed that it should simply be a matter of tightening the hinge, with no replacement parts necessary. I'm told that it's necessary to open up the case in order to do so (it's not the screws on the outside of the screen). If the OP likes, they may send me email at dan@korgrd.com and bring me into the discussion with Musik Meyer/Korg & More.

Sorry, i was offline for a while.
Two screws on the rear of the screen are broken.
As i understood the explanation these must be drilled out and be replaced by new screws. Also the the windig has to be newly drilled and the screws have to be replaced.
It also says literally "unfortunately we can´t deliver the requested spare parts". I guess this means the screws.
So since the winding is going to be bigger after drilling the metal relic out, the newly done winding will be bigger anyway, so i would need larger screws an can take any.
So i guess there´s no need for further discussion with Musik-Meyer. I will have some talented metal-craftsman take care of this mechanical problem, or if dont´t get along, turn it in to service at korg&more.
Thanks for you offer and support danatkorg.
Regards
Markus

Wow, OK - this is a more complex problem than simply a loose hinge, then. Now that the warranty is expired, your approach makes sense to me.

Does that mean, my 7000 € Flagship is a piece of electronic scrap, if something more important breaks? Or are other more important parts, like screen, mainboard or the proprietary sound board still available?
Yep,
I´m afraid thats the situation right know.
And may be elsewhere in the wolrd, ´cos I had the very same info from my Korg distributor as well.
