Happy Christmas to all OASYS users

I realise that posts like this can be a bit corny, and that not everyone celebrates Christmas - but just felt the compulsion to wish all OASYS owners and users on the forum a very happy Christmas.

Thanks to Sharp for a fabulous year on the forum - and gratitude to Korg US for hosting the forum - Sharp and Korg US deserve a lot of kudos for that move - Korgforums continues to be an excellent forum all round.

So happy Christmas ot you All and I hope you have a good break and get a chance to do some good music on your OASYS (Christmas always feel like a time to me where I feel more free somehow to do bit of personal music stuff that seems to elude me at other times of the year).

Happy Christmas to All.
Kevin.

I think my previous post from another thread, just suits this occasion:

I wish KORG a prosperous future and a lot of Kronos sales, which will finally enable them to design a successor of the current OASYS successor, which will hopefully follow the legacy, the spirit and the philosophy of the great KORG founder Tsutomu Katoh.

Tsutomu Katoh:

"...It is difficult to mention future products, because everything is changing so quickly. However, I have my desires and dreams for products. As a manufacturer supplying tools to create music, I would always like to make products that make musicians really happy..."

"...I always dream of providing useful instruments. Even if the scale is small, a company that can produce unique products is still my ideal. It would be the most desirable situation if we could enable musicians to create works that did not exist before, or if we could invent a new musical style by making unique instruments. We know that other companies copy our products, but I always say to our employees, 'learning from other companies' products is OK, but do not make copies - think and produce your own ideas.'..."

"...I do not think any of the conventional hardware products or software synths which are now in fashion have reached their ultimate form. So inside Korg we are trying to seek the form that is easiest to use without regard to the boundaries of hardware and software..."

(Quote from "SoundOnSound"(2002): "The History of KORG", part1: http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/Oct02/a ... rg40th.asp , part2: http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/nov02/a ... rsary2.asp , part3: http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/dec02/a ... ersary.asp )

And finally one famous and happy KORG customer: Herbie Hancock in his home-studio (watch the video from 10:50 to 11:58 ) where he plays his Kronos-61. You will also see his OASYS-88 (with a broken key!?!) and several Macs:
