Whatever happened to the Kronos rack?
I just loved how the M3 easilly turned intoo a rack version, nothing left of that great design in the Kronos. Hell no, they did not even release a rack version.

You'll never know if there will be, but chances are less than in the past now software synths are getting better for those who don't need a keyboard ... on the other hand, the Kronos is better than all/most soft synths.

I thought korg already said there will never be a rack version. I'm pretty sure I read that somewhere.

I can't imagine that is an official statement ... Korg normally does not announce they will NOT make something (so they can later always do it if needed).
The only reason I can come up with, is that people otherwise would wait until the Rack comes out and go to the competition if it takes too long.

Well to be honest I don't know much about soft synths, but in general the Kronos is considered kind of 'best of overal'.

Wasn't there some conversation about this time last year with RichF about a Kronos rack never happening?
I seem to remember whilst it wasn't an official Korg statement, it was the next best thing!!

Hey
why doesn't someone cut their Kronos apart - maybe someone with a duff RH3 keybed; or maybe one that survived a carcrash and was written off by the insurer - get some marine plywood and make one and then demo the concept at the next NAMM?
Any volunteers...

Could always use an old V-Synth XT chassis - with an angular panel....
AND it would upset people on RolandClan as well....
WIN on both sides

(kidding!!!! I like Roland Clan!)

Nooooo! Don't dismantle a V-Synth XT
The V-Synth XT is the best synth Roland have made since the D-50.
In fact the V-Synth XT is the
only synth Roland have made since the D-50
