Ipad and the Kronos

What other functions can this Lemur control and provide or improve?
It isn't a cheap app to get just for these pads...
And could it be used with my other synths as well?
Such as Karma..?
Also I don't have the camera connection kit thingy, but I do have
Line 6 MIDI Mobilizer II, which works with MIDI I/O interface.
Can the same funcnality be achieved with MIDI or must I use the USB?
