monotribe octave knob issue

hi there, i own a bunch of tribes and korg stuff but i just bought the monotribe for fun on a long trip cus i couldnt take my studio y'know

had a great time fooling around with it on the plane, got some questions from the stewardesses and nervous looks from the woman sitting next to me but thats another story....

my question is about the octave knob that dosent seem to do anything at all

has this issue come up & i didnt see it when i searched? is it a known issue? do the knobs just sometimes not get connected properly?

im pretty familiar with korg stuff and havent had problems like this before

hoping someone can help as the manual just describes it, not explains it... maybe im not holding the instructions the right way up

What's your VCO Range setting? I know that on WIDE the ribbon ignores the Octave setting and extends the pitch.

Note: I don't own a physical Monotribe but instead tinker with a Java based emulation of it.

From what I can tell the octave knob controls which octave is being played in - I.e. it only affects the ribbon, and doesn't make any difference to fa melody that has already been looped.

Also, moving this to the electribes section as it is not 'latest news'.
